In the beautiful setting of the North Carolina mountains, youth servants will share the hope of Christ and behold the miracles of God working in our midst through a strenuous week of growing as disciples and serving others through various ministries: 1)working with Habitat for Humanity, assisting with the construction of homes for working families; 2)sharing the Gospel by leading Vacation Bible School with children and youth from a residential school for neglected children; and 3) working in impoverished area schools to prepare for fall reopening, including cleaning, painting, and landscaping; 4)sharing a field day, worship, and picnic with developmentally challenged adults. Our base camp is Camp Linn Haven in Linville, NC. Recreation activities include volleyball, pickleball, and basketball at the camp, and hiking in nearby Linville Gorge. While this event focuses on high school students, college students are welcome to serve in mentoring relationships. This week is designed to be physically, mentally, and spiritually challenging.
